(Consorzio Opere Marittime Attivitą Portuali) si presenta nel mercato come impresa portuale, impresa di costruzione e montaggi off/on-shore, con l'obiettivo preciso di sviluppare in particolare il servizio multimodale, non a caso ha due cantieri all'interno di insediamenti industriali del priolese, n° 4 officine in aree del territorio augustano, ed in fase di attrezzare un campo privato esteso di mq 280.000, di facile accesso, distante Km 3 dal Porto Commerciale di Augusta da utilizzare anche per provvisorio stoccaggio di merci.

The C.O.M.A.P. (Consortium Maritime works and Harbour Activities) presents itself as harbour firm and construction's and erection's off-on shore in the market, with the exact aim of developping in particular the multimodal service and for this reason it has two yards inside the industrial area of Priolo (Syracuse), it also owns n° 4 workshops in the area of Augusta, and it is going to equip a private area of 280.000 square metres, easy to access and which is 3 Km far from Augusta's Commercial Harbour and that will be used to store goods temporarily.

I lavori che il ns. consorzio "C.O.M.A.P." esegue attualmente si raggruppano in:

Our consortium "C.O.M.A.P." carries out the following works currently:

Ų Progetto (perforazione pozzi di gas) Cercina (Tunisia) x THYNA PETROLEUM SERVICES (TPS) utilizzando i seguenti mezzi marini: piattaforma COMAP II, due crew boats IFA I e Mongibello, il rimorchiatore ADRIACO 301, due work barges, BARGE I e BARGE IA, e il ns. A.H.T.S. F.lli Fazio, mezzi peculiari per bassi fondali.

Among the recent works there are:

Ų The completing of the breakwater in Civitavecchia .

Ų The performance of an emergency bridge Ortigia/Siracusa on behalf of the civil protection;

Ų The performance of sea brick H²0 for Messrs. ISAB Energy (Priolo Gargallo). The work consisted in the digging of rock of about 10.000 cubic metres at 19 meters 1.m.m hardnesss from 10 ÷ 40 depth below the sea level;

Ų Making safety of AGIP PETROLI Priolo Super Jetty located in the Port of Augusta and consisting in the dismantling of n° 2 concrete spans of 200 T and restoration in emergency of n° 12 pipelines: work executed in 5 solar days;

Ų Dismantlement of the Solid Jetty located in the Port of Augusta for Messrs. ENICHEM (Priolo). Dismantling of 2500 T of steel in 40 mt spans and 700 T of cranes.

Ų Offshore Drilling Project gas wells in Cercina (Tunisia) for THYNA PETROLEUM SERVICES (TPS) by using the following support vessels: “Comap II” Platform, n°2 crew boats: “IFA I” and “Mongibello”, “Adriaco 301” Tugboat, n° 2 work barges: “Barge I” and “Barge I A”, and our A.H.T.S. “ F.lli Fazio”, peculiar means for the shallow water area.

IL PORTO DI AUGUSTA

La ricchezza della struttura portuale č data anche dalla presenza di servizi efficienti ed idonei a garantire con tempestivitą e con contestualitą una notevole quantitą di operazioni in diversi settori, mentre la notevole presenza di infrastrutture (Pontili, cantieri, bacini, etc…) pone il porto di Augusta in grado di assolvere ad una pluralitą di funzioni specializzate con capacitą di sostenere molte attivitą contemporaneamente.

The wealth of the harbour structure is also due to efficient and fit services which guarantee with timeless and contextuality a notable quantity of operations in different sectors, while the considerable presence of infrastructures (such as boat-wharfs, shipyards, docks, etc…) places the harbour of Augusta in a position that is able to accomplish a majority of specialised functions and is able to afford many activities simultaneously.

Lungo il perimetro portuale, nella zona ovest, inoltre, si rileva la disponibilitą di una grande quantitą di aree con assenza di insediamenti urbani, utilizzabili per qualsiasi attivitą connessa con quella portuale.

Along the west area of the harbour perimeter there is the availability of a big quantity of areas with no civilized inductions being useful for any harbour activity.

Il porto commerciale č in via di ultimazione con ulteriori 196 ml di banchinamenti a giorno, superando cosģ 1.100 mt di banchine, la costruzione di magazzini e fabbricati di servizio per stoccaggio di merci sfuse e containerizzate, sistemazioni di piazzali, raggiungendo cosģ circa 500.000 mq ed un pontile Ro-Ro con n° 2 accosti. Nel 2003 sono state movimentate quasi un milione di tonnellate di merci, con circa 3400 navi in arrivo.

The commercial harbour is on its way of termination with further 196 ml of open wharfs, going above the 1.100 mt of wharfs, the building of stores and service manufactures for stocking of loose and containered goods, the arrangement of large squares reaching about 500.000 mq, and a Ro-Ro pontoon with n° 2 nearby dolphins. In 2003 one million tons of goods have been moved with about 3.400 vessels arriving.

La struttura del porto č caratterizzata dalla banchina di base (lunga 200 mt.) dalla banchina di riva (lunga 235 metri), da quella commerciale propriamente detta (lunga 500, fondali 14 mt.) e dal pontile Ro-Ro lato Nord. Il nostro porto commerciale č quindi un porto polifunzionale che oltre al traffico Ro-Ro per il cabotaggio nazionale e per il collegamento con i paesi del bacino del Mediterraneo ed alla commercializzazione delle merci prodotte nell’area industriale e del retroterra agricolo č ben attrezzato per la funzione di federaggio. Essendo geograficamente al centro del Mediterraneo si pone naturalmente al servizio delle full containers giromondo come transhipment port per le quali le grandi aree disponibili sono una grande risorsa attrattiva.

The harbour structure is characterized by a shore-base (200 meters long), a commercial wharf (235 mt) a business wharf (500 metres long, depth 14mt) and a boat-wharf Ro-Ro on the North side. Our commercial harbour is a multifunctional harbour which besides the Ro-Ro traffic for the national coasting trade, the linking with the Mediterranean countries and the negotiation of the goods produced in the industrial area and agricultural on the back is well equipped for the containers federation. Being geographically located at the Mediterranean centre, it is on commission of the vagrant full containers as transhipment port for whom the big areas constitute a very attractive resource.

E’ un porto naturale molto ampio e sicuro: la superficie del bacino portuale č di ben 2.600 ettari, ha forma ellissoidale con una larghezza massima di 8.500 metri e minima di 4.000 metri. La profonditą dei suoi fondali (variabili da 10 a 39 metri) consentono l’operativitą di qualunque nave. Il suo bacino, caratterizzato da ampi canali d’accesso, č protetto da una diga frangiflutti poggiata su un rilievo roccioso sottomarino che ne garantisce una operativitą praticamente permanente (negli ultimi 10 anni, in media, si č registrata l’interruzione delle attivitą solo per otto giorni l’anno).

It’s a natural harbour, very large and safe: the dock area is of 2.600 hectares with an ellipsoidal shape, a maximum breadth of 8.500 meters and a minimum of 4.000 metres. The depth of its bottoms (variable from 10 to 39 meters) allows the functioning of any ship with wide entrance channels, its dock is sheltered by a breakwater dam layed on an underwater rocky prominence which guarantees practically a permanent working (in the last 10 years the interruption of the activities was recorded on an average of only 8 days annually.)

Per i suddetti motivi il Comap, come impresa portuale, essendo concessionaria di area doganale (2 A/C) ha dotato l’area suddetta di una gru portuale della portata di T 100 con 18 mt. di sbraccio e di n. 2 reach stackers e di varie altre specifiche attrezzature.

Tale attrezzatura ha consentito gią nella metą del 2000 l’attivazione di una linea di navigazione che ha approdato settimanalmente ad Augusta, interessando l’Hapag Lloyd ed altre compagnie le quali hanno espresso pareri positivi sulla impressionante efficienza, basti pensare che una nave entra in porto alle ore 6.00 riesce alle 8.10 avendo movimentato 14 teus. Inoltre il Comap, unito ad altri partners del Mediterraneo, č inserito nel settore dei trasporti internazionali anche con proprie unitą.

For these reasons the Comap, like harbour firm, holder of concession’s customs area (2A/C), has equipped one’s yard with a harbour crane lifting till 100 T with jib jutting out for mt. 18 and n. 2 reach stackers and various other specific equipments.

Such equipment has allowed the activation, in the middle year of 2000, of the navigation line that has landed in AUGUSTA weekly, concerning the Hapag Lloyd and other companies, which have expressed positive opinions around its efficiency; You only have to think that a vessel gets into the port at 6.00 a.m. and leaves at 8.10 after having moved 14 Teus.

Furthermore the Comap with other partners in the Mediterranean, is extremely well inserted in the field of international shipments, with its own units too.
